Checking the oil level in the power steering

Required Special Tools: Not required.

Hydraulic oil "G 002 000" purchased at the service station.

The hydraulic oil expansion tank is located on the right under the hood in the direction of travel. The liquid level can be observed on the tank wall.

1. Set the front wheels straight.

2. Start the engine and let it run at idle.



3. The oil level with the engine running should be between the MIN and MAX marks on the wall of the expansion tank.

4. If the oil level has dropped to the MIN·mark, check the power steering at the service station to see if there is an oil leak.

5. You can only add "Hydraulic oil "G 002 000". Fill only with new oil, as even slight contamination can lead to a malfunction of the hydraulic system.
