Temperature sensor check
A. Connecting plug; B. Thermal sensor; 1, 2, 3, 4. Contacts
Examination
1. Turn the ignition on and off.
2. Remove connector (A).
3. Connect pins 1 and 2 with an additional wire.
4. For machines without a circulation pump, the electric fan should work. For machines with a circulation pump, the pump should work. The circulation pump is located, for example, on a 4-cylinder petrol engine under the left fan.
Attention! Since the time relay only works for 10–12 minutes after the ignition is turned on and off, the check should be carried out within this time.
5. If the electric fan does not work, check the wiring according to the wiring diagram and eliminate the break, if necessary, replace the time relay.
6. Turn on the ignition.
Resistance test
1. Connect an ohmmeter to contacts 1 and 2 of the temperature sensor (IN) (see pic. Temperature sensor check). Required values: below +103°C - infinite resistance, above +104°C = 0 Ohm.
2. If the measured values do not correspond to the required values, replace the circulation temperature sensor.
