Removing
1. Disconnect the wiring from the fuel switch and glow plugs.
2. Clean the supply pipes at the connection points with the pump and nozzles with a cold cleaner and unscrew them. Close openings with appropriate caps. Do not change the shape of the pipeline bend.
3. Remove glow plugs and injectors (see subsection 2.17.7.2 and subsection 2.17.7.5).
Installation
1. Finishing the cylinder head of a diesel engine is not allowed.
2. Depending on the protrusion of the pistons, cylinder head gaskets of various thicknesses are installed. When replacing the gasket, pay attention to the designation of the old gasket and install a new gasket with the same designation. Black arrow - part number, white arrow - cutouts/holes.
3. Before installing the cylinder head, screw guide pins 3070 into the outer holes from the inside.
4. If there are no guide pins on hand, make guide pins to center the cylinder head. To do this, saw off the heads of the old cylinder head bolts and cut a slot for a screwdriver.
5. Screw guide pins into holes 8 and 10 (see subsection 2.6.1). Turn the crankshaft at the belt pulley so that all pistons are approximately at the same height.
6. Install the cylinder head.
7. Install the remaining 8 cylinder head bolts with washers and hand-tighten. Always replace cylinder head bolts.
8. Unscrew the guide pins with a screwdriver, install the remaining 2 cylinder head bolts with washers and tighten by hand.
9. The cylinder head bolts of a diesel engine are tightened in the same way as for a gasoline engine, but in addition, they are additionally tightened again when the engine is warm.
10. Replace cylinder head cover gasket only if damaged.
11. Install glow plugs (see subsection 2.17.7.2).
12. Install nozzles (see subsection 2.17.7.5).
13. Clean the connections of the inlet pipelines with a cold cleaner. Tighten cap nuts to 25 Nm.
14. Connect the wires to the fuel switch and glow plugs.
15. Check the start of delivery of the high pressure fuel pump (see subsection 2.17.7.6).
16. Tighten the cylinder head bolts on a warm engine. To do this, warm up the engine in motion, leave it to idle until the radiator fan turns on (oil temperature above 50°).
17. Stop engine.
18. Unscrew the cylinder head cover.
19. Tighten the bolts with a rigid wrench, without first loosening and 1/4 turn at a time (90°). Follow tightening sequence (see fig. Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Order).
20. Install the cylinder head cover.
Attention! Do not tighten the cylinder head bolts after 1000 km of run.
