Fastening bolt, 80 Nm; 10. Camshaft gear; 11. Rear toothed belt guard; 12. Intermediate gear; 13. Crankshaft gear; 14. Bolt, tightening torque 90 Nm 1/4 turn (90°). Always replace the bolt. 1. Power steering pump V-belt. Check the tension by pressing the thumb; 2. Bolt, 10 Nm; 3. Bolt, 20 Nm; 4. Lower casing of the toothed belt; 5. Upper casing of the toothed belt; 6. Camshaft mounting bolt. For the tightening torque, take into account the designation of the steel of the bolt on the head. Bolt 8.8–85 Nm, bolt 10.9–120 Nm. For unscrewing and tightening, use the VW-3236 counterholder; 7. Toothed belt; 8. Camshaft gear; 9. Rear casing of the toothed belt; 10. Water pump. Check the ease of movement of the shaft, in case of damage and leakage, replace the water pump as an assembly; 11. Ring; 12. Crankshaft timing belt gear; 13. Bypass roller; 14. Alternator V-belt. Check the tension by pressing your thumb. The deflection of the new belt is about 2 mm; the deflection of the old belt is about 5 mm; 15. Vibration damper. Installation of a vibration damper and a belt pulley on a toothed belt gear is possible only in one position - the holes are not symmetrical; 16. Central bolt, 460 Nm. Lubricate the threaded thread and the adjacent surface of the head with AMW18800102 sealant. Due to the high torque, the machine must be on its wheels when tightening the screw. When unscrewing and tightening, use the VW-3248-A countersink.
